It's been a long time. I'm going to try to do better... This card is 4.5x6". I used the Zebra from the Create a Critter cartridge.
There are two zebra stripe pattern papers on this card. I round punched the corners. I used "Happy Birthday" embossing folder. I also tied a small knot on the embossed part.
I finished the inside using the same pattern papers and added a white mat so a greeting could be added later.
I faux dotted the inside mat as well as the outside around the black zebra stripe to break up the white card base.
This is a fast and fun creative card. A fun
folding technique is used on this card - you need double sided paper to
complete the look as well as some ribbon and fabric flowers (you could also use
an embellishment instead of the flowers). The finished look forms a frame
around the flower in the center.
Card base is 9" x 6" scored and
folded at 4.5". I used a solid colored mat that measured 4.25" x 5.75".
Using double sided pattern paper cut a piece
to 4" x 4"
- using Martha Stewart scoring board, score
on diagonals at 5/8" and 1 3/8" on each side. - NOTE: if using a
different scoring board dimensions may vary!
- fold the 1 3/8" side in and then fold
back at 5/8"' on all four sides
- add a flower to inside with a brad - I
used 3 layers of "studio g" paper flowers I got at Walmart.
I used a "Happy Birthday"
sentiment at the bottom center and embossed it using versa mark and embossing
powder.
I used the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug Folder to
emboss about 3/4s of the mat which ended about 1/4" above the greeting and
add a ribbon across the card where the Swiss Dots end.
I adhered the mat to the card base and then adhered
the square/diamond to the top.
Inside mat measurements:
5.5"x4" on one side of the pattern paper
5"x3.5" on the opposite side
4.5"x3" for the white mat
Makes a cute and fun card for any occasion!
Enjoy!

This card features an Astronaut who just got
dropped off at the moon to explore. There are many techniques used in the card,
from chalking, faux stitching to foam pop-ups to add dimension. Here's how to
recreate...
The card base is 9" x 6", scored and
folded at 4.5". The card opens upward
The cloud mat is 4" x 5.5"
I faux stitched the card base on the edges
and edges of mat
I cut the Astronaut and rocket from the B is
for Boy cartridge at 3"
I cut a 4” circle for the moon from the
Plantin Schoolbook cartridge, and embossed it with the "spots and
dots" cuttlebug folder
I added some gray chalk to moon to make it
more realistic and adhered it flat to card in the corner, cut off access moon
I added foam to both the rocket and
astronaut, and adhered them to card
I Stamp the “Happy Birthday” sentiment
directly to the pattern mat, you could also stamp on a solid colored base and
adhere it to the card if your pattern paper is darker.
Inside:
Pattern mat is 4" x 5.5" and the
white mat is 3.5" x 5"
I chalked the edges of the white mat and
adhered it to the mat and then to the card.
I faux stitched the card and mat edges, then
stamped the sentiment inside "may all your wishes come true". To finish it up I added blue dots to the
white mat edges.
This card shows an airplane
soaring over the grassy plains with fluffy clouds in the background! I used faux
stitching and pop-up foam to add dimension.
I used the "B is for Boys"
and "Mickey and Friends" cartridges.
The card base is 9" x
6", scored and folded at 4.5". The card open upward.
I cut a mat of pattern paper at
4" x 5.5" and adhered it to the card base
I cut the airplane from the B is
for Boy cartridge and pieced it together, I saved the star cut outs to use on
the inside.
I faux stitched the airplane to
give it some dimension. I stamped the sentiment in the top right corner right
on the mat – you can stamp on a piece of scrap paper if your mat is to dark.
I cut grass from the Mickey and
Friends cartridge (page 127) at 3” and cut a straight line across the bottom so
it would lay straight on the card base. I adhered it to the bottom centering it
and cut off the access on each side. I added dark green dots to the grass to
give it some dimension and then added dark blue dots to the mat base to make it
pop as well.
I cut clouds from the
Mickey and Friends cartridge (page 127) at .5", .75" & (2) at
1". I added light blue dots to the clouds. I positioned and adhered the clouds
above grass not overlapping grass or sentiment.
I then added foam to the airplane
and adhered it at an angle towards the left side of the card.
Inside Mat:
Grass green mat is 4" x
5.5"
Cloud mat is 3.5" x 5"
White mat is 3" x 4.5". I adhered them together
and to the card base. Then I adhered the stars left from the airplane to
opposite corners.
I stamped the top center with "May all your wishes come true"
This is a cute and fun card any little boy will love.
