Flower Fun Frame Birthday Card

This is a fast and fun creative card. A fun folding technique is used on this card - you need double sided paper to complete the look as well as some ribbon and fabric flowers (you could also use an embellishment instead of the flowers). The finished look forms a frame around the flower in the center.

Card base is 9" x 6" scored and folded at 4.5". I used a solid colored mat that measured 4.25" x 5.75".

Using double sided pattern paper cut a piece to 4" x 4"
- using Martha Stewart scoring board, score on diagonals at 5/8" and 1 3/8" on each side. - NOTE: if using a different scoring board dimensions may vary!
- fold the 1 3/8" side in and then fold back at 5/8"' on all four sides
- add a flower to inside with a brad - I used 3 layers of "studio g" paper flowers I got at Walmart.

I used a "Happy Birthday" sentiment at the bottom center and embossed it using versa mark and embossing powder.

I used the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug Folder to emboss about 3/4s of the mat which ended about 1/4" above the greeting and add a ribbon across the card where the Swiss Dots end.

I adhered the mat to the card base and then adhered the  square/diamond to the top.

Inside mat measurements:
5.5"x4" on one side of the pattern paper
5"x3.5" on the opposite side
4.5"x3" for the white mat

Makes a cute and fun card for any occasion! Enjoy!
